In market they are judging the quality of the lamb. Hayden got a blue ribbon. YEAH! He looked so cute out there. Kaleb, his friend was also in this group.

It was the first day of fair and we started out with a picture in the motorhome right before Hayden went off to do his 7 am morning chores. I think he was excited even though we havent seen 6:30 wake up calls since school got out.

Kobe''s 9th birthday

Kobe wanted to have a birthday party at home with a few friends so that he could have a airsoft war. It was about 90 degrees so the war didnt last long. They cooled off on the Bonzai slide and by swimming in the pool. A friend took Gabby to her house so it was all boys! What an energetic crew.

Family beach trip

We decided to fire up the motohome and head to the beach. We found a spot at Beachside state park in Waldport. The campground was right on beach and believe it or not, the weather was gorgeous. I dont think I have ever been to the beach when it wasnt windy. The kids had a great time. We didnt have a car with us so we decided to ride our bikes three miles to Yahats on the beach (when the tide was out). It was a blast. When we got there we went to the little market for snacks and drinks to refuel us before the three mile ride back!

Christmas Florida style

For Christmas of 2007 our family took a trip to Florida. We spent the first three days in the Keys, staying at a wonderful hotel right on the beach in Marathon. Then we drove to Orlando and spent the next four days at Disney World, Animal Kingdom, and Universal Studios. The kids never seemed to run out of energy, but us adults were all exhausted. Nana and I took the kids to Animal Kingdom while Papa and Oscar hung out at the hotel, (lucky them)! We all had a great time but were ready for a little down time. We divided up and Oscar, myself and the kids went down to Coral Springs to spend the next week with the kids' other grandparents. A mild cold front came in so the next few days were in the low 60's instead of the beautiful 75 degree weather we had previously. After a day of recooping the kids got to try fishing for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed it, even though they didn't catch anything! We had a great time and enjoyed a change of scenery for Christmas.
